Formed in 1982, the Muckhart and District Snowsports Club provided coaching and race support for young athletes from local families living in and around the Muckhart area. Muckhart and District Snowsports Club is now the ski racing club serving the Fife, Stirlingshire and Perthshire areas.
Muckhart and District Snowsports Club is a dynamic, fun and successful racing club operating from modern floodlit dry slope facilities at the Firpark Ski Centre, Tillycoultry. The club aims to attract racers and skiers of all ages and abilities. It is fair to state that the club ‘punches above its weight’ and this is reflected in its members achieving regular podium places both at home and abroad. The club is also proud to see its members represented in school race teams, and both the Scottish and the GB Alpine Ski Teams.
Each season we anticipate more than 70 young racers actively participating in our training programmes. We concentrate on ensuring that they have top quality training and are supported to compete at all levels. The emphasis is on everyone being able to ski and race at their own level, but most important of all to enjoy it.
The club remains a “family, fun club” run by volunteers for its members. The club’s Committee members and coaches provide the environment and opportunities for children and adult members to reach the standard of skiing they are all capable of and want to achieve. Our members have gained extensive experience in organising local, regional and national ski events, on both snow and artificial surfaces.
Training is every Thursday during School Term Time between 18:00 and 21:00.
